Graduate Students (MSc/PhD)
Thank you for your interest in joining the lab and our research. All applications for graduate studies must be submitted through the Department of Molecular Genetics at the University of Toronto.
The typical process is to first gain admission to the department and then select a laboratory.
For your application, you will need to:
- Submit a cover letter outlining your background and explaining why you are interested in joining the department
- Identify 2–3 laboratories whose research aligns with your interests (feel free to mention the Abelson Lab)
- Provide academic transcripts, letters of recommendation, and other required materials as specified by the department
Postdoctoral Fellows
We are always looking for motivated postdoctoral fellows with a background in computational biology, computer science, or cancer genetics.
Postdoctoral candidates can apply directly to the lab. Please send your CV and a letter of interest describing your research background, career goals, and how your expertise aligns with our research program.
